Sail Trainee Opportunity – Tall Ships Festival 13-16 April 2017

National Maritime are the official event management organisation for the Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Festival 2017, which is to be held over Easter 2017 on the 13-16 April.
In 2015, my team successfully worked with Tideway to inspire and engage communities to develop long term careers in the maritime sector. Using our website, over 3,000 people registered their interest in the marine opportunities to be created by the project.
Continuing our work around employment and skills development for UK maritime industries to help drive economic growth, Jobs in Maritime, the global maritime jobsite and recruitment service of National Maritime is now working with the Royal Borough of Greenwich to recruit 50 sponsors to help give a young person the opportunity to sail the first leg of the Regatta from Royal Greenwich to Sines, Portugal. In addition, we are asking sponsors, where possible, to offer further work experience or a guaranteed job interview upon their return.
This opportunity creates an amazing opportunity to get involved with changing people’s lives, giving you the opportunity to support your community and businesses succession planning, whilst also generating meaningful publicity.
The event footprint is impressive.
Around 40 ships will join the Rendez-Vous Tall Ships Regatta 2017 to celebrate 150 years of the Canadian Confederation in a breath taking sail from the shores of Royal Greenwich to the heart of Quebec. As one of London’ major festivals this historic event will also create major opportunities for business to associate with the adventure, internationalism and excitement of the race build- up with publicity reaching millions.
