These may be direct recruiters, employment consultants or other organizations, which pay for the service. You can choose to restrict your details in the system. When you register with Jobs in Maritime, you will first register and provide a User Key and password. You will create your own User Profile and upload your CV and we will store the information in our databases. You can update or delete any of the information at any time. It is your responsibility to ensure that your CV and contact details are kept up to date. You should update your CV ideally every 3 months, but particularly if your contact details have changed and you are changing jobs or contract assignments. Once your User Profile and CV(s) are in our database, we will contact you periodically by email to request whether you want to remain active or inactive. By being set inactive, it stops your CV from being searched and will be archived until you wish to make it active again. If you do not have a positive response to a series of emails, we have the right to remove your information from the database.
Passwords
Passwords are for the sole use of the person to whom they are issued. We may deny access to a password if we reasonably believe that an unauthorised person is using it or that the user is breaching these terms and conditions.
Rights in the Database
Database rights and all other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in the Candidate database belong to Jobs in Maritime Ltd. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any rights in the database or its content and that these terms and conditions govern your retention and use of the database and its content.
Buying Services from www.jobsinmaritime.com
Agencies and prospective employers and their agents provide job advertisements on the website. We are not responsible or liable for the contents of advertisements. We expect candidates to carry out such verification procedures, as are deemed necessary.
Sales and Government Tax
All online transactions will include VAT at the UK prevailing rate. If you are from outside of the EU you may be exempt from VAT. Liability and responsibility remains with the Client or Agency. You will then need submit your order to the sales team.
In the event of Government reviews to taxation levels or to the rules for on-line Internet sales, then Jobs in Maritime Ltd has the right to change this tax immediately and back date any transactions by issuing Credit Notes & Invoices as appropriate and collect or refund any difference.
Payment & Currency
The Jobs in Maritime Ltd services are job advertisements, recruitment service and general advertisements – and access to these services can be purchased individually. Payment is accepted in Pound Sterling and may be made in advance by BACS, merchant services or PayPal; Jobs in Maritime also accepts all major debit and credit cards when using the self-checkout option. Other payment terms for Clients and Agencies are available subject to credit terms and authorisation by credit reference companies.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use and any dispute that might arise with respect to the website shall be governed by English law without regard to principles of conflict of laws and relevant federal laws. Irrevocable consent is hereby granted by both parties to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts for any action or dispute. Use of this website is unauthorised in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these Terms of Use, including this paragraph.
