Port of London Authority Open Day – The River Thames Careers and Trade Fair – Wednesday 16th July 2014, Royal Terrace Pier, Gravesend, Kent

As part of our continued long term strategy, the National Maritime Development Group (NMDG) and The Port of London Authority (PLA) are again joining together to help promote the River Thames as a location of growth and prosperity for businesses and opportunity for jobseekers.
As organisers of the event, the NMDG last year saw over 1,000 people attend the PLA Open Day where visitors learnt about business, training and job opportunities from 24 Thames based exhibitors. This Open Day brings together and showcases in one place all of the commercial operators and facilities on the river, and demonstrates the capabilities of the PLA.

Enthusing the young people of today about the River Thames opportunities of tomorrow the PLA Open Day will also welcome schools and those in further and higher education, who will be undertaking pre-booked guided tours of the PLA marine services facilities throughout the day.
