The ILO Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC 2006) was ratified on 20 August 2012 and entered into force on 20 August 2013.
Whilst the UK has not yet ratified the convention, the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency has been tasked with coordinating UK compliance.
