About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Marine Fitter to join our engineering team operating across a fleet of RoPax and RoRo ferries based in UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair, and fabrication work to ensure the reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of all mechanical systems onboard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Fabricate and install components using welding, cutting, and machining techniques.
- Assist engineers during planned maintenance, dry dockings, and major overhauls.
- Inspect and maintain safety-critical systems, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and assist in corrective action planning.
Requirements
- Fitter or Marine Engineering qualification (Engine Rating III/5 preferred)
- Basic Safety STCW
- STCW Security Awareness
- Valid ENG1 Medical
- Experience on RoPax and/or RoRo ferries is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A commitment to safety and operational excellence
