Oil & Gas UK: Oil & Gas UK is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry. It is a not-for-profit organisation, established in April 2007 but with a pedigree stretching back over 40 years.

Nautilus International: Nautilus International is an independent, influential, global trade union and professional organisation, committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective services to members, and welfare support to necessitous seafarers, their dependants and other maritime professionals.

Environment Agency: The Environment Agency is a non-departmental public body, established in 1995 and sponsored by the United Kingdom government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with responsibilities relating to the protection and enhancement of the environment in England.

Port of London Authority: The Port of London Authority, for navigational safety on the tidal Thames, covering commercial cargo shipping, inland waterways freight, commuter services, tourism, sport and leisure uses of the river, also marine services, vessel navigation and maritime safety.

Blackpool and The Fylde College: At a time of skills shortages in the UK we work closely with industry to co-create technical and professional education and training which develops the skills, knowledge and attributes which employers need to drive their businesses forward and provides you with rich employment opportunities.

Glasgow College of Nautical Studies: City of Glasgow College, like Scotland as a nation, is a real melting pot of diversity, equality and excellence. The Academy is an approved training provider for the Maritime & Coastguard Agency; Merchant Navy Training Board; Association of Marine Electronic and Radio Colleges; Royal Yacht Association and Seafish.

BKSA (British Kite Surfing Association): British Kitesports is the National Governing Body, or ‘NGB’ for kitesurfing and other kitesports in the UK. We are the only UK body to invest in the long-term growth and sustainability of all kitesports in Britain.

British Marine Federation: British Marine is the membership organisation for the leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry. Our 1,600+ members come from a broad range of businesses including boat builders, chandlers, brokers, marinas, passenger boats and engines.

British Ports Association: Created in 1992, the British Ports Association represents the interests of its 100 full members, and numerous associate members, to the UK and devolved Governments, the EU and national and international bodies.

British Tug Association: Founded in 1934, the BTA represents the interests of port towage operators from large corporates to smaller privately-owned companies in addition to a number of Port Authorities. BTA members’ tug fleets cover ports handling 90% of Britain’s sea-borne trade including all of the leading ports.

Cruise Lines International Association UK & Ireland: CLIA UK & Ireland is a member of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the world’s largest cruise industry trade association with representation in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.

Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers: The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is the only internationally recognised professional body in the commercial maritime arena and it represents shipbrokers, ship managers and agents throughout the world.

International Jack Up Barge Association: We want to create a credited career path for barge operators, to improve safety and training and to continue to build the association to ensure it encompasses barges worldwide in many different legislative authorities. We have just passed the final external accreditation stage of the IJUBOA Award in Jack Up Barge Operations.

International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA): The IMCA aims to improve performance in the marine contracting industry worldwide.

Maritime London: The promotional body for UK-based companies providing professional services to the international shipping industry. Funded by nearly 100 companies and organisations from a wide range of disciplines, Maritime London ensures that the UK remains a world-beating location to base a maritime related business and to conduct maritime trade.

National Workboat Association: The Trade association for Workboat Owners and Operators. Whilst most are based in the UK we have members with vessels operating throughout the North Sea basin, in the Mediterranean, Persian Gulf as well as in Australasia.

Oil & Gas UK: Oil & Gas UK is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry. It is a not-for-profit organisation, established in April 2007 but with a pedigree stretching back over 40 years.

Port Skills & Safety: We exist to make UK ports safer and more skilled. Our parent organisations, the British Ports association and UK Major Ports Group, cover most of the UK commercial ports and we draw upon their networks and expertise. PSS is recognised by Government departments and agencies, including the Department for Transport, Health and safety Executive and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

Renewable UK: Renewable UK is the UK’s leading renewable energy trade association, specialising in onshore wind, offshore wind, and wave & tidal energy. Formed in 1978, we have a large established corporate membership, ranging from small independent companies to large international corporations and manufacturers.

Royal Institution of Naval Architects: RINA, is an internationally renowned professional institution whose members are involved at all levels in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of marine vessels and structures. Members of RINA are widely represented in industry, universities and colleges, and maritime organisations in over ninety countries.

RYA: The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the national body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, canal and river boat cruising, and personal watercraft.

Society of Maritime Industries: The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) is the voice of the UK’s maritime engineering and business sector promoting and supporting companies which design, build, refit and modernise ships, and supply equipment and services for all types of commercial and naval ships, ports and terminals infrastructure, offshore oil and gas, maritime security and safety, marine science and technology, maritime autonomous systems and marine renewable energy.

Subsea UK: Representing more than 300 members, Subsea UK is the not-for-profit, industry body that champions the country’s subsea supply chain both at home and abroad. It acts as a focal point to promote the sector and maximise its opportunities as well as provide a national forum for collaboration, diversification and technology development.

IMarEST – The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology: IMarEST is the first Institute to bring together marine engineers, scientists and technologists into one international multi-disciplinary professional body.

The Nautical Institute: The Nautical Institute is an international representative body for maritime professionals involved in the control of sea-going ships. We provide a wide range of services to enhance the professional standing and knowledge of members who are drawn from all sectors of the maritime world.

UK Chamber of Shipping: It is our mission to deliver for our members trusted specialist expertise, lobbying and influence at a UK level on maritime issues across national, European and international government and governmental bodies. By combining the strength of our members with this expertise we will advance the competitive strength of the industry ensuring that the UK remains as a leader in the global maritime business.

UKMPG – UK Major Ports Group: The United Kingdom Major Ports Group Ltd (UKMPG) is the trade association representing most of the larger commercial ports in the United Kingdom. It has nine members who, between them, own and operate over 40 ports, accounting for more than 70% of the total tonnage handled in UK ports. UKMPG represents the interests and concerns of its members to policy makers and opinion formers in the UK and Europe, on those areas of Government or EU policy which affect the industry.

Women in Maritime Taskforce: Maritime UK has established a Taskforce to address fairness, equality and inclusion within the maritime sector. The Taskforce brings together leaders from across the maritime sector to identify the number of women in maritime, and crucially within senior roles across its shipping, ports, marine and business services industries.

The Charter: The Charter creates a framework to challenge companies to make progress on diversity and will be supported by a suite of ‘toolkits’ or resources o help companies realise those targets.

The Pledge: Organisations that sign the pledge will be encouraged to take practical steps and set themselves measurable and ambitious goals towards meeting this Pledge.

Resources: Providing a lifeline of welfare and support to Fishermen and their families.

Careers: With sea trade expected to double in the next 20 years, the need for a highly skilled workforce has never been greater. The Uk is committed to providing world class seafarers, port workers, engineers, naval architects, shipbrokers, financiers, accountant, consultants, insurers and lawyers, so that – together – they can meet the long term needs of this global sector.
