Job Description

Electro-Technical Officer (ETO III/6) – UK | 

We are currently seeking an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join our client’s vessel operating within the UK. This is a 4-week fixed-term contract , providing temporary cover onboard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, monitor, and repair all electrical, electronic, and control systems onboard
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment in line with company and regulatory standards
  • Conduct planned maintenance and fault-finding on shipboard systems
  • Support vessel operations by ensuring minimal downtime of critical systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Comply with all safety procedures and maritime regulations

Requirements:

  • Valid III/6 Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency
  • Legal right to work in the UK (e.g. Frontier Worker Permit or equivalent)
  • All mandatory STCW certificates up to date
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate
  • Proven experience working as an ETO onboard vessels
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience on RoPax and/or RoRo ferries is advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A commitment to safety and operational excellence
