PARTNERSHIP’S- KNOWING WHERE & HOW TO INVEST TO ENSURE A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR THE THAMES ESTUARY: BUSINESS BREAKFAST,THURSDAY 30TH OCTOBER, SUSCON, DARTFORD, KENT: This meeting of the Thames and Channel, National Maritime Development Group (NMDG) has been designed to give executives an insight into how the Thames Estuary Partnership (TEP) achieves its mission by raising awareness of estuary issues, informing key decision makers, facilitating partnerships and managing projects and initiating research programmes. We will hear from Pat Fitzsimons, Director, Thames Estuary Partnership, on how the TEP has been building networks, delivery projects and facilitating partnerships programmes for the past 20 years. This venue will be providing a full English breakfast. Cost : £15+VAT for NMDG partners & their paid-for guests, £20+VAT for non-partners (N.B. non partners may only attend a max of 3 NMDG events). ANTI-BRIBERY & CORRUPTION WITHIN MARITIME INDUSTRIES: BUSINESS BREAKFAST,THURSDAY 27TH NOVEMBER, SUSCON, DARTFORD, KENT: This meeting of the Thames and Channel, National Maritime Development Group (NMDG) has been designed to give executives an insight into the risks and compliance issues in corruption and bribery faced by business within maritime industries. We will hear from Howard Shaw, Head of Anti-Bribery and Corruption Service for Mazars LLP. This venue will be providing a full English breakfast. NATIONAL MARITIME SKILLS GAP GROUP (NMSGG) MEETING: TUESDAY 18TH NOVEMBER, NATIONAL MARITIME TRAINING CENTRE, GRAVESEND, KENT: This is the 2nd meeting of the Thames and Channel, NMSGG. This is an employer led group, involving some of the region’s major employers further supported by stakeholders, training providers, FE & HE’s,  and is limited to 40 partners. We would like to hear from ‘SME and larger employers only’ willing to participate in the groups work (we have ten employer spaces left). The purpose of the task and delivery group is to secure a closer working relationship between academia and industry to encourage joined up thinking across the wider maritime industries, share information about  labour and skills requirements and seek to form consortiums to design appropriate training interventions.
