Job Description

SC Cleared FCAW Welders required for 8 week contract in Rosyth

Travel & Accommodation included (details to be negotiated)

Due to the area working all must agree to commence work in radiological areas.
A radiological working brief will be given prior to commencing works.

All welders must have suitable confined space, working from height and British safety council training equivalent (Gold Passport)
Certificates will be required prior to starting.
(This can be organised by client and successful applicants will be paid on completion of 1st week onsite)

Due to the nature of the works, there is a requirement for each welder to be a British National.

All welders will undertake 2 weeks’ worth of training on site, this will
come with a weld test to ensure all relevant qualifications are met.
The training qualification required will be to BS01B standard.

Working hours will be 6 days per week, 24 hours per day, 12-hour shifts (24hour working)
The welders will split up into teams to support dayshift/nightshift working.
Dayshift: 07.30 am to 20.00 pm. – Monday – Saturday inclusive
Nightshift 19.30 pm to 08.00 am – Monday – Saturday inclusive
Umbrella rates of pay:

Day shift:

£29.50/h – Mon – Thurs (48 hours)

£32/h – Fri (12 hours)

£34.50/h – Sat (12 hours)

Night shift:

£35/h – Mon- Thurs (48 hours)

£37.50/h – Fri (12 hours)

£40/h – Sat (12 hours)

Onsite facilities/amenities and PPE will be supplied by Client.
Relevant welder qualifications REQUIRED

  • Welder Test Certificate (Valid within last 12 months) for around 12 mm thick Butt Vertical UP position in the required welding process as per BS EN ISO 9606-1 (stamped by recognised independent third party)
  • Welder Test Certificate (Valid within last 12 months) for around 12 mm thick Multi-pass Fillet Vertical UP position in the required welding process as per BS EN ISO 9606-1 (stamped by recognised independent third party)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing their relevant experience in welding and pertaining products e.g., pipe, structural etc.
