How Regulation Impacts on the Commercial Performance of Organisations within the Maritime Sector?

The influence of regulation on the activities of maritime businesses is increasing significantly and it is vital that these effects are understood and embraced by all.

This meeting of the Thames and Channel, National Maritime Development Group has been designed to brief executives on how areas of legislation may affect their company’s activities and will appeal to all those involved with shore side and seagoing maritime industries in the UK.

Crispin Kenyon, Partner, Regulatory Services Unit, Weightmans LLP, London will be specifically discussing the impact of the HSE Fee for Intervention (FFI) scheme and Working at Height regulations & he will be joined by Peter Henney, Marine Consultant, Engineer, Andrew Moore  & Associates Limited, Hong Kong who will be sharing his extensive experience of shipboard operations, maintenance and machinery & system fault/failure analysis, emergency response, project management, implementation of environmental health and safety systems, and military naval defence support.

The National Maritime Development Group promotes and develops excellence in all maritime related activities in the regions of the UK, with a focus on supply chain leverage.

The Thames & Channel NMDG represents a maritime ‘cluster’ of more than 4000 businesses, employing 105,000 people, with a turnover of £5 billion per annum.
